"Sh-she's gone." Dipper found his voice.
"And Dipper...you're alive! I'm alive! We're-oh Dipper!" She hugged him joyfully.
"The curse is over." Dipper realized, hugging her back tightly.
Wendy suddenly hugged them as well. Dipper blushed as his heart skipped a beat. Finally the three of them recovered enough to stand up.
"I guess it's time we headed back." Dipper smiled.
"Wait a sec Dipster." Robbie chuckled, playfully putting Dipper's hat back on so the brim now covered his eyes. "Don't forget your hat."
"Thanks Rob." Dipper smiled as he pushed the brim up so that he could see.
Robbie suddenly hugged Dipper, and Dipper hugged him back.
The four of them then headed back to the others, who were now all cheering. There was quite a touching reunion, everyone talking at once about how Dipper and Mabel ended the curse and how glad they were about Dipper and Mabel being alive again. Even Grunkle Stan got caught up in all the excitement.
The only ones who didn't join in were Sid and his dogs and cousins. They had come from Victorian times after all, when people were supposed to keep some control of their emotions. They did smile proudly towards Dipper and Mabel though. Barnaby smiled out of joy as well.
Oh, and Gideon didn't join in as well for obvious reasons. Heh, nearly forgot about him...which reminds me, while the curse was ending his free will was given back to him. Left him with quite a headache though.
Then, after everything had calmed down, Dipper and Mabel and the others walked towards the sorcerers. Barnaby suddenly couldn't help himself, and he hugged Mabel, sobbing a little.
"I thought I lost you." He admitted.
Mabel blushed, realizing that Barnaby really did like her. She still wasn't sure how she felt about him, but she let him continue hugging her since he had obviously been through quite a bit of pain. Dipper just smiled at the two, glad that there was finally one boy besides him who really cared about Mabel.
"Thank you, thank you so much for ending the curse." Sid smiled. "I missed having opposable thumbs."
"What about us? We have our own bodies back!" The English Cocker Spaniel said joyfully.
Dipper turned to the Cocker Spaniel, recognizing the voice.
"Multi-Bear?" He said.
"Yeah." Cocker Spaniel smiled. "I was Sid's familiar before the curse, that's why I'm the only one who can talk. However, the curse separated our bond even though it didn't destroy how much we care about each other. I hadn't been able to talk for a long time, before I met you even I spoke like a bear. The sorcerers and manotaurs can understand animals, but I thought I'd be stuck speaking bear language forever. Then when you showed up, I found myself talking like a human again. I couldn't figure out why though, so I just accepted it."
"This means that your true bond is now with Dipper." Sid smiled. "That's why you can talk like a human again."
"Really?" Dipper smiled. "You mean he's now my dog?"
"Yes." Sid smiled. "A dog's love for his master never dies, unless that master never deserved the love in the first place. However, the bond he has with his master can be removed and given to another master."
Cocker Spaniel ran up to Dipper, who hugged him.
"I've always wanted a dog, but could never find the right one before." Dipper admitted.
"Is this okay with you Sid?" Cocker Spaniel asked, not being able to call Sid master anymore.
"It's perfectly okay." Sid smiled. "If nothing else then think of it as a reward for Dipper for helping to end the curse."
"Well, since I'm your dog now I guess I'll need a new name." Cocker Spaniel said to Dipper. "I forgot my old one due to being so used to Multi-Bear." He looked sad.
"Well then, how about Bear?" Dipper smiled. "You'll always be a tough yet kind bear to me, even though you don't look like one anymore."
Cocker Spaniel smiled, looking happy again.
"I like that name. Bear it is."
Suddenly, they heard groaning from the woods. Startled, everyone turned towards the sound and saw Gideon coming out of a bush clutching his head!
"Man what a headache." He moaned.
"Oh yeah...side-effect from being under Maida's mind-control for so long." Victor rubbed the back of his head awkwardly. "I forgot about that."
Dipper then remembered something, and took out Grunkle Stan's third journal. There was the healing amulet obviously.
"Hang on." He said, going over to Gideon.
He then used the amulet to heal Gideon's head. It just worked automatically, Dipper didn't even have to do anything other than hold the amulet to Gideon's head. This caused Victor and Sid to look at each other as if they realized something.
"Wh-why did you do that?" Gideon asked Dipper, touched and surprised. "After all I did to your family...."
"Hey, come on none of that was your fault." Dipper smiled gently. "It was Maida the whole time."
"Yeah, since you were never really a psychic psycho in the first place we can forgive you." Mabel added.
Gideon smiled.
"Thank you, thank you kindly that means a lot to me." He said. "I would like to make a new start...become friends for real this time. And don't worry Mabel, I never really had a crush on you to begin with, that was Maida's doing."
"I know, I'm not worried." Mabel smiled.
"Yeesh, that's some creepy mind-control." Grenda winced.
"Agreed, any mind-control that can affect emotions is not good mind-control." Candy agreed. "People should feel emotions on their own, without artificial help."
Everyone else agreed, then started to head back to town. Wendy stopped after a moment though, with only Robbie noticing.
"You okay Wendy?" He asked quietly.
"Yeah, it's just...when Dipper kissed me I...." Wendy smiled with a slight blush. "I had never felt such a strong love before. I think I've even...."
"Fallen in love with him." Robbie smiled knowingly.
"Completely. I hope you'll be okay." Wendy then looked at him concernedly.
"Don't worry about it, I've been noticing recently that my love for you doesn't seem to be strong enough." Robbie said. "I mean it is strong, but not like...true love strong, I guess."
"Might as well check though." Wendy said.
"Yeah."
They kissed. Sure enough they weren't meant to be, weren't soulmates. At least not soulmates in the romantic sense.
"I'm so stupid...." Wendy put a hand to her head in frustration. "Our love for each other...it's sibling love, like Dipper and Mabel's love for each other. I should've realized it sooner, I mean I have three brothers so...."
"Wendy." Robbie interrupted gently. "I think there's someone you need to catch up with."
Wendy turned and saw that Dipper and the others were kinda far away. No one had noticed Wendy and Robbie falling behind, though that was just because they were too busy talking to Dipper, Mabel, and the sorcerers.
"Right." She smiled just before hugging Robbie. 'Thank you Robbie."
She then ran after Dipper.
"Dipper!" She called.
Startled, everyone turned around and finally saw that Robbie and Wendy had fallen behind. Dipper and Mabel had their arms around each other, glad to be alive and still be together, but then Mabel let go of Dipper and backed away with a smile. Dipper looked at her confusedly before turning back to Wendy, who had just caught up. Then he remembered....
"Oh...the kiss." He hung his head.
"Yeah...Dipper I already knew how you felt about me." Wendy smiled.
Dipper was shocked, but then looked suspiciously at Mabel. Mabel grinned apologetically, since she had told Wendy by accident.
"And I also know about your broken heart." Wendy added.
Those who hadn't known before, mainly everyone except for Pacifica, Mabel, and Robbie, were shocked.
Dipper turned back to Wendy.
"I figured you knew that much, Mabel does have a tendency to act without thinking...especially when she's angry." Dipper said. "But if you knew why my heart's broken then how come you didn't say anything earlier?"
"Because...because I liked both you and Robbie." Wendy admitted. "I was afraid of getting your hopes up, because if things didn't work out between us it might've broken your heart further and...."
Wendy couldn't finish, but Dipper knew what she was going to say. She was afraid of him dying. He couldn't help but smile at that.
"Relax, as long as Mabel is alive I'll stay alive even if we never end up together." He said. "The only thing that probably would kill me is you hating me."
Wendy now really understood why Dipper had lied to her about that fight. He didn't want to risk getting killed from her hating him, especially since Mabel needs him. Beforehand she had forgiven him for lying, but now she was grateful since obviously she didn't want him dead either. Besides, he included Robbie in the lie, which was actually kinda noble of him considering he and Robbie had been enemies at the time.
"Dipper, I could never hate you." Wendy said sincerely. "And even if I ever said such a thing I wouldn't have meant it, I would've only said it out of anger."
Dipper let out a sigh of relief. Wendy knelt down in front of him.
"However, things have changed." She said.
Dipper looked at her sadly.
"No, not like that." She smiled. "Before I liked both you and Robbie, but then when you nearly died from fighting the werewolf I realized that I love you both...and then when you kissed me, I realized that you were the one I love romantically. Robbie I only love like a brother."
Dipper now smiled with hope. He wasn't sure if it was true or not but Wendy did sound sincere so....
"Your love...it's stronger than any love I've felt before and...I couldn't help but fall in love with you." Wendy was now grinning, her love for Dipper increasing.
Dipper's smile grew bigger...especially when he looked into her eyes. In her eyes there was joy and...love, really strong love. He gazed into her eyes, nearly lovesick...then let out a gasp and clutched his chest slightly. Everyone looked at him worriedly, including Robbie who had caught up with them a few seconds ago. Just then...Dipper smiled the biggest smile ever. Tears of joy started to form in his eyes.
"My heart...it's not broken anymore." He grinned. "You really do love me."
"Of course I do, who wouldn't love an angel like you." Wendy smiled, overjoyed that he had finally been healed.
"Oh, I'm not as much of an angel as you are." Dipper looked away humbly, blushing a little.
Wendy just smiled a bigger smile and leaned down to kiss him on the cheek....
"Wendy-" Dipper turned back around....
...And they kissed. They stared at each other wide-eyed, both caught off-guard, but then quickly smiled and melted into the kiss. Their kiss soon became stronger, and they put their arms around each other. Then their kiss became passionate.
Mabel was overflowing with joy for both her brother and Wendy. She really wanted to run around whooping and cheering but she also didn't want to disturb them. Everyone else smiled happily, though there were those who were caught off-guard by all this: Grunkle Stan, Gideon, Soos, Nate, Lee, Thompson, and Tambry.
Grunkle Stan was glad that Dipper's broken heart had been healed, but was still surprised that Dipper had fallen in love for real so soon (he was also a bit jealous of Dipper for it). Gideon and Soos never expected this to happen, not knowing about Dipper's love for Wendy, though were glad that Dipper and Wendy were happy. Especially Gideon, after nearly hurting Dipper and Mabel big time in the past he didn't want them to get hurt by anything anymore. The teens, apart from Robbie, were surprised that Wendy had fallen in love with a kid. However they knew about her past failed relationships and how lonely those failed relationships had made her, so they were really happy for her.
As for Candy and Grenda, Dipper had already told them about his love for Wendy. With both Mabel and Pacifica knowing it was only fair that Candy and Grenda knew as well. So they, along with Pacifica, were really happy for him and Wendy. Robbie was too, he was glad that Dipper's heart had been healed and that Wendy would never feel lonely again. He didn't feel any pain from letting Wendy go, after all there was someone else out there for him. He just hoped that he could find her before he turned thirty, though with his plan to go on tour with the rest of his band it might happen.
The sorcerers and Bear and the other dogs however didn't smile happily, they smiled satisfactorily. Even though they hadn't kept in contact that often they did keep in contact enough to find out that Dipper had a really big and strong heart. Bear himself had sensed it way back, and told Victor and his family as well as Gobblewonker. So, they knew that if he fell in love with someone for real then that person had to be his true love. Those with big and strong hearts after all have great lives ahead of them, true love included. In fact, Victor and Sid had been secretly talking to each other just a few minutes ago and had decided on a special surprise for Dipper...possibly Mabel too, if she proved herself....
Anyway, Dipper and Wendy broke free. They had to, they nearly ran out of oxygen. They just gasped for breath while gazing at each other, overflowing with love.
Anyone recognize the Cocker Spaniel Dipper named Bear? ;)

Also I know DipperXWendy shippers are going to love this part.
